About My Journey

Born in 1969 in Biel/Bienne, Youri Laubscher González has been exploring the points of friction between artistic vision and design expertise for over three decades. Trained in graphic design at the School of Applied Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds, he has shaped his visual language through collaborations in Barcelona, Zurich, Basel, Solothurn, and Bern. Today, he lives in Bern with his partner and is fully devoted to artistic creation — a fluid space where painting, performance, and digital art intersect. He is also the father of a daughter.

Art as Metamorphosis: between inner chaos, perception, and transformation

Youri Laubscher González is a painter and multidisciplinary artist whose work inhabits the shifting space between chaos and structure, matter and memory. For over three decades, he has explored the raw edges of human experience, layering gestures, accidents, and transformations into images that feel both intimate and universal.

His paintings are intense, unfiltered, and visceral — sometimes inhabited by fractured figures, sometimes unfolding as abstract terrains that echo the landscapes of memory. They carry the tension between control and surrender, where imperfection becomes language and the unfinished breathes with its own rhythm.

In his live performances, painting merges with digital projection and sound, creating immersive environments that evolve in real time. There is no predetermined script: each gesture, each image becomes part of a living dialogue where the work itself seems to decide its own path.
